CREATING CLARITY

Once the blur is applied, the sharpening step brings back clarity and definition to the parts of the image that are most important. Sharpening emphasizes the details and edges within the image, making key elements like textures, outlines, or focal points more distinct. It adds contrast to the edges of objects, making them "pop" more. However, this step requires care because too much sharpening can introduce noise or unwanted artifacts, so the sharpening should only be applied where clarity and detail are desired.
